Description

A preschooler’s very first microscope!

A fully functional microscope designed for little hands. This easy to use early learning microscope features two large eyepieces eliminating the need to close one eye plus simplified focusing (objects appear the right way up and are left-right corrected) helping young scientists understand what they see. Chunky pieces make this the perfect first microscope and also features LED light enhancing viewing of small details. Little ones will view 8x magnification and can work through the included instructions booklet with the assistance of a parent or teacher if required.

GeoSafari® Jr. is specifically designed for young explorers. The range offers child friendly tools and activities to help young children explore and experience the world. Helping little ones discover the answers on their own this range is a great way to begin early exploration and science. Children will answer questions about the world around them plus find some more questions to investigate.

What our experts think

The My First Microscope encouraged children to describe and compare the properties of objects – for example, children loved investigating how their fingerprints looked up close. It helped bring out children’s natural curiosity, as they were fascinated to find out what the different objects around them would look like up close – this helps to promote an interest in objects such as plants, which is part of the National Curriculum for science.

Children found the microscope easy to use by themselves, and this helps them practice using scientific tools.
